The Team
Steel has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Having worked in the industry my entire career, I’ve gained hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of structural steel fabrication—from reading plans and managing production to overseeing projects and building strong relationships with customers and contractors.
I joined Advanced Welding Fabrication & Design in 2022 and hold the position of General Manager. I take pride in leading a team that is committed to quality craftsmanship, safety and doing the job right the first time. I believe the foundation of every successful project is built on hard work, honest communication and keeping your word.
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing a project go from a set of drawings to a finished structure. Whether it’s a commercial building, industrial facility or custom steel project, I enjoy helping bring our customers’ vision to life.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, boating and classic cars.
I joined Advanced Welding Fabrication & Design in 2024 and serve as the Office Manager. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the front office, helping ensure everything runs smoothly while supporting our team and providing excellent service to our customers.
Before joining Advanced Welding, I spent 23 years as a court stenographer. Transitioning into the construction industry was a big change, but it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I truly enjoy what I do and one of the things I appreciate most is the family atmosphere at Advanced Welding. It’s a place where people genuinely care about one another and work together toward a common goal.
Outside of work I’m a busy mom to three boys who keep life exciting. When I have free time I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family.
Dustin Rainford serves as the Drafting Manager at Advanced Welding, Fabrication & Design and has been part of the company for 15 years. He began as a helper and progressed through several roles, including ironworker, welder, and Field Foreman, before advancing to his current position. Outside of work Dustin enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling with his family.
Matt joined Advanced Welding Fabrication & Design in April 2025. As an estimator, he prepares bids for new projects and evaluates changes to work already in progress.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys exploring the area and fishing along Oregon’s lakes and coast. He is the proud father of two daughters: Morgan, who attends Oregon State University, and Serena, who attends Umpqua Community College.
